Thomas Young is a lifelong resident of Breckinridge County. He graduated from Breckinridge County High School in 2000 and graduated in 2005 from the DOCJT Police Academy in Richmond Kentucky. He started his law enforcement career with the Meade County Sheriff’s Office where he served the citizens of Meade County for 8 years. He transferred to the Irvington City Police and served as an officer for 2 year, then transferred to the Hardinsburg City Police Department for 6 years. There he was Sergeant and then was promoted to Assistant Chief He came to the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office in 2021 and is currently the Chief Deputy. He and Amelia have a son named Aiden.

Tyler Hardin is a lifelong resident of Breckinridge County. He graduated from Breckinridge County High School in 2007. He is a graduate from OCTC in Criminal Justice and graduated from the DOCJT Police Academy in Richmond, Kentucky in 2011. He began his law enforcement career at the Hardinsburg City Police Department and served as an officer there for 3 years. He has been with the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office for 8 years and is currently the dayshift Sergeant. He has been married for 7 years and has two beautiful daughters.
